Homemade, February 2011 in Vienna, Austria

I was in Japan last year and brought this small can of matcha from Uji, the ancient city that has been famous for green tea cultivation since centuries, after attending a tea ceremony.

Here’s an animation video on how to prepare matcha: http://www.ippodo-tea.co.jp/tea/matcha_01.html

*This matcha latte is with soy milk and muscovado sugar.

Macha Latte

Cha No Ma, April 2008 in Vienna, Austria

Cha No Ma (茶の間) is a Japanese tea house in Vienna where one gets genuine hand prepared Macha and other Japanese desserts. Apart from the food, the shop is also decorated just as if it were in Japan.

This Macha Latte is made with powered green tea and soy milk.

*Cha No Ma is on Faulmanngasse near the Naschmarkt
