Deep Fried Mars Bar

The first time when I heard my Sottish friend said that in Scotland people fry chocolate bars and sell them in shops, I had to ask her three times to make sure that she wasn’t kidding me.

In Scotland people fry Mars bars in a type of batter commonly used for deep frying fish (as in fish and chips), which was for me hard to imagine (not to mention if it’s healthy or even tasty). This artistically furnished and definitely very Scottish pub serve a deep fried Mars bar in puff paste and ice cream. And it’s actually quite good!
